Dr. Petra Bele studied physics at the Naturwissenschaftliche Technische Akademie in Isny, Germany, and later received her PhD from the University of Yamanashi, Japan. She started her scientific career at the Max-Planck-Institut for Medical Reserach in Heidelberg and is a permanent senior staff member at the Department of Physics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) since 2005. Besides her scientific research, she was, or is still involved as scientific project evaluator/coordinator/administrator for several international projects under the European Commission frameworks FP7 and HORIZON2020, as well as different national funded projects. She co-supervises postgraduate students, contributes to her research field as scientific author, book editor and serves as an active member of numerous scientific societies. In this duty, she was or still is involved in several international conference scientific advisory boards, as keynote speaker, session organizer and/or scientific conference chair. Dr. Bele is also a distinguished referee for several scientific journals and since 2007 member of the Editorial Board (as Associate Editor) for the scientific journal “ Fuel Cells – From Fundamentals to Applied Systems”.

With a fundamental background in Electron Spin Resonance (EPR) and Magnetically Modulated Microwave Absorption (MMMA) on organic metals and superconductors she was amongst scientists, who developed the MMMA technique. After switching her main scientific interest to a new major research field, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) on nanomaterials and biological samples, her expertise includes, besides the imaging technique, image processing and 3D-reconstruction of biological (proteins, DNA) and solid state samples (nanoparticles).

Patrick Da Costa is a professor in energy, catalysis and depollution UPMC. He has been awarded the Preci 4 Technologies for Energy and the Environment Prize by the Carrefour mid-route.

Nemer Muhanna has completed his PhD at the age of 39 years from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. He is working in Sadara Chemical Company, one of the largest petrochemical plant in the world since 2014 as Analytical Sciences and Technology Scientist and has experience in the analytical field of about 20 years. He has published more than 15 papers in reputed journals in different fields.

Jaroslaw Krzywanski is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science at Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa, Poland. He received the M.Sc. degree from Czestochowa University of Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Sciences, Institute of Thermal Machinery, Poland and Ph.D. degree from Silesian University of Technology, Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering, Poland. He has published more than 100 papers in journals, books and conference proceedings refereed papers and serves as an editorial board member of several international journals. He has participated in the scientific committee of several conferences and serves as a reviewer in a wide range of international journals.

He is interested in modeling of energy objects and processes, including gas emissions and hydrogen production from biomass combustion and gasification, respectively. He uses both programmed and AI methods to predict pollutants emissions from biomass co-combustion in large-scale circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers, chemical looping combustion (CLC) of biomass in a pilot-scale fluidized bed (FB) systems as well as the H2 concentration in syngas during the hydrogen production via CaO sorption enhanced anaerobic gasification of sawdust in FB systems.

He is the retired professor from IIT Delhi. His degrees are B.Sc. (Hons.in Chem.), B.Tech., M.Tech., Ph.D. He is an ex-Prof.&Head BERC, Senior Prof.DBEB,IIT Delhi, ex-Prof.SoBT,GBU,G.N.,UP,India, ex-Adjunct Prof.,ex-Guest Faculty,DBS,BITS Pilani,Rajasthan,India.His Fellowships include FNAE,FIIChE,LMISTE. He had received following awards JSPS of Japan, Fulbright of USA, Overseas Associateship of DBT, GOI. He had Authored Six Books.
