This first-attempt study used extracts of appropriate antioxidant abundant Camellia and non-Camellia tea and medicinal herbs as model electron shuttles (ESs) to stably augment bioelectricity generation performance in microbial fuel cells (MFCs). As ESs (or redox mediators) could stimulate electron transport phenomena by considerable reduction of electron transfer resistance, the efficiency of power generation for energy extraction in microbial fuel cells (MFCs) could be appreicably augmented
Nemer Muhanna has completed his PhD at the age of 39 years from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. He is working in Sadara Chemical Company, one of the largest petrochemical plant in the world since 2014 as Analytical Sciences and Technology Scientist and has experience in the analytical field of about 20 years. He has published more than 15 papers in reputed journals in different fields.
Research Interest
• Newly developed analytical methods to resolve environmental and petroleum related challenging sample matrices. •Additives and oxidation stability in petroleum products. • Water Chemistry. • Environmental Chemistry • Spectrochemical Analysis • Thermochemistry
Erich Jeitler has completed his PhD 2008 at Graz University of Technology. He is co-owner and general manager of Prozess Optimal CAP GmbH. The company is an engineering office for chemical and process engineering with the focus on process simulation and modelling. He has been also a lecture at the University of Applied Science – FH JOANNEUM in Graz since 2009.
Research Interest
In the chemical and process industry, a variety of thermal unit operations is applied in which gases or vapor mixtures must be cooled down to temperatures near the water dew point. Such mixtures often contain substances which tend to evolve corrosive characteristics in case the temperature unintentionally falls below the water dew point.
YIN Hong is an associate professor in chemical engineering and applied chemistry at Zhejiang University. She has published more than 120 papers in reputed journals and has more than 30 authorized patents. She is the winner of National Second Prize of Technology Innovation and National Excellent Prize of Patent
Research Interest
For system of oil dispersed in continuous water phase, effects of ï¡ and μc were similar to that for water dispersed system. Beside, d32 and S/V decrease with increasing density difference between two phases. C and D significantly influence the flow pattern, which would directly affect the mixing.
